Crochet Butterfly Headband Pattern

Couldn't find a headband that I liked enough to make. I saw Fiber Spider's butterflies shawl & wondered if I could make a headband with butterflies. So, here is the pattern that I came up with. I would like to keep this pattern free. If anyone sees this pattern for sale anywhere! Please contact me.

Materials:  3mm hook, 100% cotton light weight yarn.
HDC = Half double crochet
SL ST= slip stitch
SK= Skip
Ch = Chain
DC = Double Crochet
EDC = Extended double crochet  ( yo hook,  insert hook into third stitch in 1st row, yo pull through 1 loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo  pull through 2 more loops, ch 2.

I made a chain of 95 stitches long. Yours may be longer or shorter. Just get the chain long enough to go around your head.  Not to tight. Join to make a circle. Make sure not to twist your chain & join with a slip stitch.

Row 1:  HDC in each stitch across. Join with sl st, chain 2 (doesn't count as a stitch).

Row 2: Place one dc in same st, DC in next 4 sts  (5 total), ch 5, sk 5, DC in 6th, *DC 5, ch 5,* repeat from * to * sl st to join.

Row3:  ch 2, Repeat row 2

Row 4:  ch 2, *dc 5, ch 2, EDC,  ch 2,* repeat from * to * join with sl st.

Row 5: HDC in each st.  2 HDC in each ch 2 sp, 1 in middle (5), f/o. Weave in ends. All done! Any questions.  Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hope you enjoy your new headband!

Crochet Pattern 2

Ok. The last time, I talked about how much patterns cost & how some designers just will not help, no matter what. Some make the pattern so ridiculously complicated. I've come across a few that say they're beginner friendly;  but should be for advanced crocheters only!  I would like to post one such pattern but afraid I would get into trouble for doing so. Anyways,  onto other subjects; like cooking. I know not everyone can cook. I'm a somewhat retired cook. I say somewhat retired, because once a cook always a cook, you can't get away from it! If interested. I have a ton of recipes & would be more than happy to share one with you. Stay safe & see ya on the flip side.
