Crochet Swinging Fairy Chair

Hello again everyone. I created this little swinging chair for a bunch of fairies that I made and wanted to put out into my backyard & keep high enough so that the dogs couldn't get to them. I don't have a lot of trees; so, I came up with the idea of a swing they could sit in that I could hang from what branches I do have.

Abbreviations & Materials
SC,= single crochet
St = stitch
CH = chain/chains
F/O= fasten off
Sl St =slip stitch
BLO= back loop only
Sc2tog = single crochet 2 together
3.5-4mm hook (or size desired).
You can make this as small or large as needed. Any color or type of yarn.
Ch 16, sc in second stitch from hook & each st across, ch 1,  turn (15).
Row 1-9(more for a wider seat).
Row 10: sc across in blo, ch 1, turn.
Row 11-21 sc across, ch 1, turn.
Row 22: *sc2tog, ch 4, sl st into top of st*, repeat from *to*, f/o.
This creates a little picot design on top of the chair.

About half way down on the back side, join yarn & ch 8, (or number needed), sl st into bottom corner of seat, ch 1, turn, sc back across & f/o. Do this for both sides. This gives you a bit of an arm rest kind of thing.

Depending on how long you want the chain's that it will hang by will depend on how many chains to make. For my first one, I only chained 25 for the top back & 35 for the bottom & crochet together at the top to make one loop.

Hope you like my little swinging chair. Any questions; please don't hesitate to ask. Would love to see some pictures!

Cherie's Yknot Cardihug

Hi Everyone! Got frustrated trying to find a crochet cardigan\shrug thing. My best friend ever (more like my sister); has one she really, really likes but couldn't find any more; so I decided to see if I could find something close. Most of the ones I thought she might like, turned out to be either to complicated or to expensive for me to be interested in. I found a simple pattern of sorts & decided to see if I could make up one of my own. I want to keep this a Free Pattern!!

Cherie's Yknot Cardihug
Design & pattern by Twisted D.

US terminalligy used
4 mm - 6 mm hook (depending on weight of yarn. Thin yarn; 4-4.5 mm, medium yarn; 5-5.5 mm, heavy or thick yarn; 6 mm.

ABBREVIATIONS
Chain = ch
Back Post Double Chochet = bpdc
Front Post Double Chochet = fpdc
Yarn Over = yo
Slip Stictch = sl st
Skip Stitch = sk st
Double Chochet = dc
Special stitch:
Twisted V stitch=tvs: Yo and insert hook into stitch indicated. Yo and pull yarn through 1 loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo pull through 2 loops again; go back and place another one in sk st.

This cardigan\shrug has 4 portions, 2 sizes, & 2 lengths. Back panel; 2 Front panels, & a collor\edeging. There is no right or wrong side to this pattern. So, here we go!!

Back Panel

For the short & medium-large size.  ch 76 +2=78 dc in third ch from hook to end ch 2.
For the large-extra large, long. Ch 86 + 2 = 88. You can also do a foundation single or double chain.The ch 2 does not count as a stitch. If you want a longer medium-large size, work the 88 chains.
Row 2. Dc across to end. Ch 2, turn.  You can add 2 more rows of dc, if you like.
Special Row:
Row 3 or 5. Sk 1 st, tvs in next Stitch, go back and place another tvs in sk st, repeat to end of row, ch 2, turn.
Follow this set for 41 rows for the medium-large.
52 rows for the large-extra large. Fasten off, weave in the ends. (I did 4 rows of dc in-between the tvs rows for the large-extra large).
Front Panels (make 2)
Follow the back panel instructions until you get to row 16 for med-lg; row 26 for the large-extra large.
When you reach these rows you will start doing 2, dc2tog. One at the beginning and 1at the end for the dc rows only. Leave the tvs, rows alone.

Collor\Edeging
Find the bottom center of the back panel. Place 2 to 3 stitches in each stitch around, sl st to join. Ch 1, bpdc 1, fpdc1; repeat to end sl st to join for 5 to 7 rows. Fasten off, weave in the ends? I ended up with a total of 453 stitches.

All done, take a picture!

 You are welcome to copy, paste & post this pattern anywhere you like as long as it remains free. Thank you for joining me. Take care and stay safe. Blessed Be!!
