4 or 4.5 mm hook (or hook of choice)
DC = double crochet
SP = space or space's
ST = stitch or stitches
CH =.chain or chains
FO = fasten off
YOH = yarn over hook
Special Stitch: EDC = extended double crochet, YOH, insert hook into indecated st, yoh draw through one loop, yoh draw through two loops, yoh draw through last two loops (you can do a regular dc or triple/treble here instead). The chain two doesn't count as a stitch.
Ch 255 + 2, or amount needed to go around your waist with enough extra to tie . Dc starting in third ch from hook & across length of your ch, ch 2, turn.
Row 2: *dc 5, ch 5 *, repeat from * to * across, ch 2, turn.
Row 3: Repeat row 2, ch 2, turn.
Row 4: *Dc 5, ch 2, EDC into third st 3 rows below, ch 2*, repeat from * to * across to the end, ch 2, turn.
Row 5: *Dc in each st, 2 dc in the ch 2 sp, 1 at the top of the edc, 2 in ch 2 sp*, repeat from * to * across to the end, fo.
